Just next to the lake and the center of the town. The room had a lovely lake view. Good amount of space in the family room with comfortable beds for 4, even for teenagers. Clean bathroom with an excellent shower and comfortable towels. Nice quiet area for a peaceful sleep. The location is fantastic, with a clean and warm lake for swimming and boating. The surrounding hills offer great hiking and biking opportunities with clean, fresh air. Colmar is only 45 minutes away down a scenic road.

Yes! the pictures in the site does not correspond to the real room you get it, but reflect only few renovated rooms that are sold to a different price; the pool is in an other building; the furniture of the room is disgusting, old and dirt; the bathroom is old and the WC not std type; there was not hot water in the room when back from ski in the afternoon; no help and excuse from the reception

I chose Hotel La Paix for its excellent location near the beautiful landmarks in Gérardmer. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome, quality meals, and personalized service at a competitive price. The local products and crafts available in the nearby factory outlets and boutiques were also a delightful discovery.

Limited parking onsite but easily accessible in the hotel opposite carpark. Traffic noise was slightly intrusive during the heatwave when I wanted to sleep with the windows open.
